Hello, my name is Colin

Firstly, I need to make it clear that I am not a doctor, not a medical doctor anyhow. I do have a PhD in the sciences, but that is in Applied Mathematics. Why, then, am I talking about cancer?

Jeanne, my first wife, died of cancer in 1990. She was just 37 years old, and she died only 10 months after being diagnosed with an aggressive lung cancer. I felt totally powerless at the time. I did not understand what was going on. I did not even know what questions to ask ... and, ultimately, could only offer emotional support.

So, being the scientist that I am, I started reading to get a better understanding of cancer. Thus started a journey that has come over 30 years, and has become the driving passion in my life, especially since my retirement in 2010.

Hello, my name is Colin. Would you like me to help you try to understand your cancer?

Send me some information and I will let you know if I can help.

Disclaimer: I am not a medical doctor, but someone who has been through the cancer experience and has spent many, many years trying to understand the disease. My response will not be specific treatment recommendations, but rather key questions that you should discuss with your doctor.
